Monica, Drew and Stephanie cherish your thoughts, prayers and comments. Please take a moment to leave a note in the guest book or read entries from others.
Michael and I met when drew was attending high school. He introduced himself at a hockey game and we talked about Drew and his wife Monica. At Drew’s high school graduation, he asked if there was ever anything that he could do for Drew’s school, to call on him. I asked if he would serve on our accountability committee as a community member and he jumped at the chance and served for 4 years. He brought vitality and an advocacy for the public schools to the table. Later, Monica joined us as an assistant principal and she and MIchael became close friends with my wife Jan and I. He was always positive and upbeat regardless of his own personal situation.
We went touring on Tennessee Pass one Saturday and found ourselves in deep powder and Michael offered to break trail. He was always out front.
I treasure his friendship, his courage, and his honesty. As I told the staff at AAHS, Michael was a brother to all men and called all people his friends. He modeled Christian love.
Jan and I will miss him but we will forever see his smile radiating through his amazing wife, children, and grandchildren because of his influence as a husband, father, and grandfather.
We met Mike and Monica through our son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Sally Wiggins, several years ago. Jean says this was in 1984 in Frisco, Colo. During those 24 years, we have been in contact with Mike and family. We tried to see and visit with them each time we went to Colorado from Dallas, Tx. to visit our three sons & families. Mike was always the same, never changing from hot to cold, but remaining the warm, loving GOD fearing christian man he was destined to be. Our love goes out to his family, and you all can rest in peace as we are sure that is what Mike is doing at this time, and with no more pain. Our love to all,
Jim & Jean Wiggins
I met Mr.Kessler through my best friend Drew, that was 12 years ago. Mr. Kessler was always there to listen and lend a hand to me.Through the years Mr.Kessler was like a second dad, he always took me along to any event him and drew had planned. I have never known another family that was soo loving. They treated me like I was family, and I will never forget Mr.Kessler. \ Chris Kuntzsch
What I remember about Mike and what we have talked about over the years.
He was always willing to teach/counsel or help in anything that he was involved in. The three biggies were his relationship to the Lord, his family and out door activities. Mike wanted you to experience life as he did. Mike lived life to the fullest.
He was a man’s man and fought the valiant fight to tell and show men that a man’s purpose is not to find his feminine side. That God created men with certain attributes that are different than woman and they should enjoy and exploit them for the kingdom work that God has called men to be involved in.
I have loved skiing with Mike, doing hut trips with Mike and just spending time together. I will miss him and there will be a hole when I am doing those things and he is not there. But he is there and I can still learn and become a better person because of his impact on my life.
Thank you Mike Kessler, a dedicated servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss you, but I am thankful for the time we had together.
Michael, Monica, Steph and Drew have been a part of my life and family for nearly 30 years. During that time there have been good times and bad times like in most relationships. What stands out most is the love of relationship that ALL of the Kessler family displays both in good times and in tough times. This website is a perfect example of a family going through the toughest of times and still reaching out to others so that ALL may be comforted through this loneliness we feel for our loved one and friend.
Michael and Monica have been the closest of friends to me! They both reached out to me during my toughest of times and were Jesus in skin to me. They have always reached out to serve me and my family and by so doing have earned the love of my two sons John and James as well as my heartfelt respect and love.
James and Drew practically grew up together in what I now affectionately refer to as the DIAPER DAYS. Both John and James really consider Michael and Monica as their Uncle and Aunt and Drew and Steph as brother and sister.
There are hundreds if not thousands of wonderful memories and stories or our times together and I will cherish them all as I am sure both of my boys will. Michael will ALWAYS STAND OUT as a man who loved the Lord Jesus and was not afraid to speak of HIM often!
Recently, there was a saying surrounding the famous NBA player and athlete, Michael Jordan. The saying was “I WANT TO BE LIKE MIKE”. It strikes me that when it comes to loving the Lord Jesus and family and friends, I too, want to be like my wonderful friend Mike Kessler! Look forward to seeing you again Mikey…..
Kessler Family and Friends,
I was so sadden to read about Mike today. Mke was the sellers Real Estate Agent however he became our guardian angel. Our agent was insensitive and unavailable. My mom died the day we were suppose to close on our home. We lived in California and were moving to the Springs. I called our agent and told him of our loss and he said if you don’t close today you could lose the house. There was no way we were closing in the next few days. I deceided to call Mike and explain our situation and you couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful man. Mike told me the house would wait and to know he would be praying for my family. He also said the sellers would support and understand our loss. Two weeks later we signed the final papers with Mike (our agent didn’t show up for the closing). We knew even though Mike was the sellers agent we could trust him. He explained eveything we were signing and then told us about his own Cancer. We spent several hours just getting to know this amazing man. We had a few problems with our home and Mike was always there helping resolve our issues. Remember he wasn’t our agent. Mike and I would run into each other everywhere. He would always remember my name as well as my entire families names. Mike was always interested in what my boys were up to and how my husband was doing. I always got an update on Drew and his hockey. I knew Mike as a professional and am so thankful for his honest and kind ways. I am so sorry for your incredible loss. He was an amazing man and community leader. You all will remain in our thoughts and prayers. How blessed we all were to have Mike in our lives. God Bless!
A great web site tribute to Mike.
I remember meeting all the guys in Illinois when they took their trip to DC., followed them to Indy and spent some time with the whole group. What a challenge to ride that far and I know this last trip was his last ride into the arms of his Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior. He will be missed, as on occasion he would meet with Todd and myself for coffee and a chat. A great witness for the Lord. May God comfort all of you at this time.
Regards, Charlie Taskeud, ILL.
Mike entered my life almost 10 years ago. During that time he became more than a friend, he became a brother. What brought us together was our mutual love for the Florida Gators. Many Saturday afternoons and evenings during the fall were spent watching and supporting our team. While it was our love for the Gators that brought us together, it was our love of our Lord that grew our frienship. As our friendship grew, Mike and I made a commitment to hold each other accountable for our actions. We placed nothing off limits and no matter how sensitive the subject, we knew that we could talk about it with dignity and respect.
While I will miss watching the Gator Games with Mike along with all the sporting events we attended together, I will miss the weekly lunches and phone calls the most. Simply put, I will miss the time spent with “My Brother”.
Monica, Steph, and Drew:
I want to share that during my weekly conversations with Mike, the Love he felt for all of you was always evident. He was proud of all of you and his greatest acheivement was that of a Husband, Father, and Grand Father.
Mike Kessler was a great man who through Love and Frienship made all of those who he came in contact with a better person. We can all take comfort knowing that while Heaven is a wonderful place, it is now just a little bit better.
I first met Mike when I became the superintendent for Classic Homes in University Park. I was going through a very difficult time in my life and Mike was an easy person to share my story with. I had only been on my walk with the Lord for 4 years and Mike took the time to talk me through several issues. Inviting me to his morning Bible study group, Mike was a pillar for me when I need someone to be strong in the Lord’s word and straight in his actions and deeds.
I remember standing in the dining room at Mike and Monica’s house and having Mike pray for me and my family as we made the adjustment to Colorado. What an outstanding man. What a good friend. What a great addition to God’s house. I will miss seeing him and I will miss his fatherly advice. I will see him again someday and properly thank him for his influence in my life.
Mike is an amazing man! I was fortunate to meet and work closely with Mike starting about 2 years ago. We spent a lot of time together and he became my partner and my very close friend & brother.
Mike loved to live life to it’s fullest. I always wanted to go with him on his hut trips, skiing & cycling trips it was probably a good thing I didn’t, I probably wouldn’t have been able to keep up.
Mike is the kind of man that everyone should want to emulate. I went to visit him a few weeks ago and all he wanted to do was hear about how I was doing and pray for me. He always wanted to know how you were doing and how he could help. He loved his family and loved talking about each them and was so proud of their accomplishments.
We are all truly blessed to have known Mike and I’m thankful for the time we were able to spend together!
We will miss you and look forward to seeing you again!
Dear Kessler family,
It’s been a long time since I saw Mike but I have many fond memories of playing various sports and discussing different sporting events.
During this long difficult time, your email communications made me feel connected to your family and the warm relationship your family has. Having a loving family is what life is all about. Not having met you folks has been my loss.
I am also lucky to have a loving wife, three great children and five even greater grandchildren.
I extend my sympathy and wish you all peace and comfort.
As a fellow cyclist on the Saturday morning Bicycle Village group rides, I had the opportunity to see “the coach” in action week after week. Mike’s highest priority on these rides was to encourage others in fellowship, always on the lookout for ways to help connect people with one another and challenge them to bring out their best, as His Lord intended.
As a physician, the memory that is burned in my conscience was the culmination of my most gut-wrenching one-on-one with Mike at Mimi’s restaurant—grappling in tears with the few remaining options for confronting his deadly illness. As he came to grips with his likely imminent demise, we discussed plans for producing a cycling jersey to commemorate his outdoor impact on others….I asked him what he wanted above all to be his abiding legacy to others after he was gone.
In a moment of supreme clarity, Mike immediately looked me straight in the eye and said, “Everyone in three counties and lots of other places knows I’m a Gator; we don’t need to leave that message.” Then he pointed his index finger to the sky and said very soberly and calmly, “Him….I want them to know Him, because that’s all that really matters.”
As we thought about what message to emblazon on the cycling jersey to communicate that passion as clearly and simply as possible, it finally came to us—the message that all would see as long as we wear the Team Kessler jersey: “Got Life? 1 John 5:11-12″
I miss you deeply, my brother, my friend. Thanks for boldly displaying for us your God-given passion. May we bear your message boldly for all to see.
Mike was my Capt for the U Florida Soccer Club 1961 that went 12-0-0 and he was a highly spirted player and Capt.& when things got tough he pulled the team oward. I shall miss him as he taught me few of lifes’ lessons that season!!
Ralph and I send our deepest sympathies. May all your beautiful memories made together give you and your family the strength to get through this difficult time.
Mike was a man that was committed to, promoted and live a life of courages accountability for all of Gods warriors.
He was one . And he did it with a caring and kind heart.
Mike we’ll miss you and your advice and concern for us.
Brother, we use you as an example of HIS love for us as it shined trough you.
My heart breaks for you on the loss of Michael. I hope you are consusumed by the love of your family and friends at this difficult time in you life. When David and I were reading some of the memories of Michael it was comforting to know his love for the Lord. Timothy 6-11… Pursue a godly life, along with faith, love, perserverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for what we believe. Hold tightly to the eternal life that God has given you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses. We wish you much love and comfort. May you feel Gods love and grace during this time.
Dear Monica, Steph, and Drew: Everytime I spoke to Mike on the phone while he was fighting for his life, he was always calm and appreciative. When I did not call him on time, he’d call me and say, “Buddy, how you holding up.” His way of saying, dummy, you did not call me.
As you all know, God takes only the good ones early in life. Mike was a special friend, and a man among boys. Many of you knew him, but probably not as well as I did. Dorm life with Mike was not only laughs, but also time for refection. He loved philosophical discussions, especially about how we should treat each other as gentleman. “..spirit ore circumstance ever supreme.” He loved chapel and found comfort in the helping others. Mike is the reason I work with the deaf today as a passion. He took me to NY School for the Deaf as community service in eleveth grade. The rest is history. Mike is one of the reasons I go to church every Sunday. Most Sundays, while at the dorm, he’d ask to join me at church.. Mike was raised Jewish, but his Mom was Christian. Thus, when he accepted the Christian life, Mike felt at home.
You may remember that although elected co captain of the soccer team for senior year, along with Rick Bates. Mike did not return for his senior year and our soccer team went undefeated…Imagine if Mike played, our team may have been all world. Mike went to live with his Mother in FL his senior year because he was very afraid his step father was going to harm his mother after they divorced. He choose to protect her instead of putting himself first and staying at the place he adored with the friends he loved. But, that was Mike!!! Each week during our senior year my phone bill at the dorm was over five dollars as I would speak to Mike for an hour.
I remember my wife, Dianne, and I visiting Mike at Washington University in St. Louis. Mike was the varsity soccer coach there for many years and was very successful. It was always a blast to see Mike. He was just plain fun. The last time I saw Mike he returned to RCS for the undefeated RCS soccer team reunion. I did not know he was coming. He wanted to surprise people. I think besides me, he surprised Rick and Coach Davis more. He and Jimmy Taylor, our All American soccer player at RCS and four years NCAA, spent a lot of time talking about soccer and some of the players Mike coached at Wash U.
I have been long winded, but here is why I wrote: I have ordered flowers for the mass. They will be maroon and white. The maroon will be the letter, RCS and the numbers, 57. The white will be the back ground. The card will have the names of all the boys and girls of ‘57.
I was greeted with Mike’s smiling face every Wednesday morning at the Classic Homes corporate office. He would be leaving his men’s study upon my arrival to work. Mike always had time to talk; his joy and positive spirit was contageous.
The thing I’ll never forget about Mike was his love for family. He always asked how my family was doing, and his greatest joy was sharing recent experiences of his family. What I most admire about Mike was his love for Jesus. The Light of the World radiated through him.
I first met Mike as a hockey player at Colorado College while Mike was a linesman for our games. He was always very friendly and personable even when I was an 18 year old kid. He would talk to me and even throw out a word of encouragement to me when he had a chance. We lost contact when I left Colorado Springs after I graduated from C.C.in 1980, but we re-connected when I moved back to the area in 1986. We both volunteered with Hockey Ministries International in 1994 in the Springs. We went to several Promise Keepers events together and had many great times together. Mike was a great friend who would always go out of his way to speak to me or encourage me. Mike was an excellent encourager. He loved his wife & children very much. He would always update me on what Drew or Steph were doing, and the adventures of the education arena with Monica. He lived for his family. My best memory of Mike was our trip to the Promise Keepers million man march in D.C. in Oct. of 1997. Drew & I flew out while Mike rode his bicycle with a group of friends from Colorado. We had fun fellowship and heard motivational speakers about the unconditional love of God. We had great fellowship at the event and Drew & I did some fun bonding. There were alot of laughs when you were with Mike. He loved life and shared his love openly with others. I was blessed to call Mike my friend. I feel I am a better person from knowing Mike. He respected and loved people and through his love for others he glorified God.
Mike was a super guy with great enthusisam and dedication. Our paths did not cross enough, but it was always a pleasure to see Mike. He was an inspiriation to so many. God Bless and may he rest in peace.
I am sorry for your loss. My family and I are praying for your family and friends.
I unfortunately never had the chance to meet Mike, but I know Monica on a professional level. Monica I always loved when you would talk about your family, you always did so with a smile on your face and pride in your eyes. I got to speak with you briefly a few times while Mike was battling cancer. You were by his side and praying for him throughout. You are an amazing lady and your husband sounds like a fantastic man!
We will be keeping you and your family in our prayers.
I have read all of the comments about Michael and learned so much about him. I know that this has been a most difficult time for all of you.
Michael was so lucky to have you and you were lucky to have had him in you rlives even for this short period of time.
I willalways remember him as my big brother and all of the times that we shared together as children growing up. sometimes happy and sometimes sad. I think that Michael became the person he is because of going through many things in his life.
He found peace, knowledge and true love as an adult and for all of those who knew him in his adult life they found a true friend who definitely cared about the whole person and would always try and bethere for them. what a Gift.
I am sure he is in a better place and will always look down and smile on all of us.
God Bless . when the last sliver of sun goes down I will always think of you and know that you are finally at peace.
Dave and I can only imagine what you are going through. We have cherished your friendship so much over the years that we hurt when you hurt.
Steph, I did not know your Dad well, though I feel like I did through you and all you told me about him – I know he was a totally cool, caring Dad of Faith, widely respected by others, who loved sports and fitness and had a warm smile and huge heart. I saw how proud he was of you on your wedding day — a truly beautiful day with him we will never forget.
Our family continues to pray for you – for strength, for rest, for peace. Because I know you must be angry – I am too! It’s so unbelievably unfair. Much too wonderful a man to be taken so soon. I know you must be struggling for answers, but I pray that soon you find some peace in knowing his spirit will forever be a part of you, as it always has been. And from the sounds of it, he will forever be a part of so many other lives as well. You must be so proud of your Dad, Steph.
We love you guys and look forward to seeing you soon. I so wanted to be there for the service today. (If it wern’t for all these dang kids following me around all day…)
Huge Hugs,
Jeni and Dave
Charlie, Julianna, Georgia and Mary Shea
All our love and prayers are with you at this sad time. Michael will always be in our hearts and in our lives. He was a great big brother, father and husband. I will always remember all of the good times I spent with him growing up. Especially the times out at camp as a child in Missouri and as adults in Colorado. He will be forever missed.
Our whole family is so sorry for your loss. We all knew and loved Mike for a long time. Please accept our sincere condolences. My dad wanted to write, so I am doing it for him.
Love,
Judy
“I loved Michael so very much for many years. I first met him when I was the camp doctor at Camp Wah-Kon-Dah, and he was a counselor. Later, he lived at our house for one year while he was at Washington University, where he was the tennis coach and taught me to scuba dive.
We enjoyed spending time with Mike, Monica, Steph and Drew in Colorado and at our place at The Lake of the Ozarks.
Monica was and always will be part of the Everson family in Omaha, and we all grieve for her and the family at this very tough time. Monica, you have all been in my prayers ever since you could not make it back to Omaha to party with Vicki, Maureen and Pat, but we all thought about you often. At times like this Faith is what gets us through, so I pray that you and your family stay strong trust in God. I am deeply saddened for your loss, and although I didn’t know Mike, knowing you the way I do, I have no doubt he was awesome. God Bless you and your family. Take Care. Cindy Everson and all of the Everson Family.
As my sister said we cherished Monica as if she were part of the Everson family. Her laughter is contagious.
I didn’t know Mike but just reading about him and knowing Monica-he sounds like an amazing man who touched many peoples’ lives. Stay strong Monica but lean on your faith and your friends and family. God Bless you and your family and many hugs are waiting for you when you come to Omaha. Jackie Everson
Dear Monica & Family–
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of husband, father, and grandfather. You are in our thoughts and prayers here in Omaha. I do have to mention to you Monica it was so fun to listen to Vicki, Pat, and Maureen talk about your crazy high schools days. We sure miised you. God Bless You and Your Family
What a wonderful tribute. It was my pleasure & fortune to have Mike as a student and also to be able to coach A FINE VIBRANT LEADER OF THE UNIV OF FLORIDA SOCCER CLUB 1960,61 , UNDEFEATED 12-0-0 and 1962. He touched my life and I think I in turn touched his!!!!!!!! Coach Alan C. Moore
This comes with all our love as we convey our deepest condolence to you on the home going of Michael. We received the news with sadness, even though we believe that Michael lived a life that should be celebrated.
Since we met Michael and the family about fourteen years ago we have come to admire him as a man after Godʼs heart, a lover of his family, meek, caring, generous, approachable, and physically strong. He was very passionate about influencing other men for the Lord and seeking for ways to serve other. His listening ear and empathy personally drew me to him as we shared and prayed together on several occasions when I visited the U.S.A. Mike will be greatly missed, not only by you, his loving wife and children but by his friends across the globe.
He bore his pain courageously as his time on this earth drew closer to the end.
May the Lord help you not to grieve like those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13) because we know that Michael is now in heaven in the presence of our Lord waiting to welcome us to His presence at Godʼs own appointed time.
We will continue to uphold you in our prayers as you mourn and try to adjust to a life without him. May you experience the Lordʼs comfort and deep assurance of His care in the days ahead.
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Kessler; I truly loved him very much. He instilled in me loads of respect, kindness, and responsibility I will carry him with me throughout my life. I wish I were closer to the family now, but I know you have lots of love and support. Drew, I love you very much and I hope you know that you are a direct reflection of your dad’s goodness. Mrs. Kessler, I wish I could give you a big long hug right now! You are so blessed for the years you had with Mr. Kessler; and you still have lots of sons who truly love you. I miss you guys, but look forward to when I get to see you again.
Dear Kessler Family,
What an amazing life Mike Kessler lived! Mike was a Godly man of integrity and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Conversations with Mike were meaningful, encouraging and energizing. Mike knew the value of family and close friends. He made himself available for impromptu coffee, lunch, and/or a ride and you always knew you had his undivided attention. He squeezed more into his 69 years than most people could get in a 100 years!
We all have memories of Mike that make us laugh. A few of mine are when Mike used to invite me (Todd) on “training rides.” When I asked what he was training for, he would simply reply “I’m just TRAINING!” He was so intentional, and yet he would often refuse an afternoon ride because it was too windy. I thought they would be good for his “training” but he preferred his windless morning “training” rides best. I will grin whenever I’m enjoying a “training ride” on windy afternoons!
We won’t understand on this side of eternity why Mike wasn’t allowed more time, but Mike’s life and death both brought honor to our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ. We will miss Mike greatly but celebrate his life and the legacy he has left behind. You are a precious family and we love you guys so much. We will proudly wear our Team Kessler jerseys and fondly remember Mike! You are a blessed family to have had Mike as a father and husband.
Blessings,
Todd, Lisa, Chase, Tanner & Lexi Taskerud
It was with great pain that I could not be with you on Thursday as you truly celebrated an AMAZING man. Whether he was your husband or father, I want all of you to know that what I saw as a person on the outside was a man of courage, character; a devoted Christian, friend and most of all a person that so many should strive to be like. I meant every word I said in my card to Michael and I am so very thankful that he was able to hear exactly how I felt about him. The beauty is that I am certain I am not the only person who saw Michael for who he truly is….I think that has been evident with all of the outpouring of support to each and every one of you.
It amazes me that Michael came into my life when I was 12 years old as my soccer coach. He and I laughed later in life at all of the weird things young girls do and the fair share of hassles we gave him. Nonetheless, the good Lord put him there for a reason. We lost touch over the years only to have him brought back to me via his wonderful wife, Monica as she came to be a teammate of mine on the AAHS administrative team. What a blessing to be able to have contact back with him as well as Monica because we all know what special people they are.
I know that Michael (dad) is smiling down on all of us from either the top of that mountain he just climbed, or the ride her just took on his bike, or even the snow shoe trip or ski slope he just conquered, he did it all pain free!
My heart will always be missing a special person in it but just as someone else said, his legacy with live on forever. So for now, it will not be goodbye, but yet, I will be seeing you…..
I am so sorry, to read from afar, of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during these times. I am blessed to know the Kessler family and to have had a few occasions with Michael.
Although we did not know Mike as well as most, what I will always remember about him is how positive Mike was about everything. He had a positive attitude about life and every situation life handed him, but most of all he was positive about his God. The last time I spoke to Mike he told me he was positive God would be next to him, guiding and helping him along his journery….and so he was.
I received the notice that Mike had passed away from Gator soccer Email. I was Captain of the Gators the year prior to Mike. Like Coach Al Moore I remember Mike being a friend to everyone. On the field, Mike always gave the maximum, and never backed away from a challenge. After reading the guest book, it appears he continued to live the same way. Best wishes to his family.
Richard White
I was so honored to take care of Michael over his last days and weeks. Always a man of strength he maintained that till the last and did things his way!
I am also glad he was able to pass peacefully into the arms of the Lord at home surrounded by those who loved him.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord shine his light on you and give you peace..
Love, Linda
Today marks the one year anniversary we lost my Dad. It’s been a tough day. I miss him everyday but some days are harder than others. One of my friends I spent time with today made a comment about what an amazing Dad he was and I couldn’t have agreed more.
He would get such a kick out of Hailey now and what a personality she has. He’d love hearing about all the sports Ben is doing so well in and how much fun he’s having. He’d be so proud of Monica and how well she’s been handling this year and the strength she’s shown. He’d be so excited by the career choices Drew has taken and the decisions he’s making in his life.
I miss him calling me up and saying “Stezzie – whatcha doing? How’s my grandboy and girl?” It’s hard to believe I’ve lived a year of my life without him. I miss him terribly! But I will continue to celebrate the amazing Dad and man he was – I hope you will too!
Sherri and I count it a great blessing to have known, labored with and loved our friend Mike! How wonderful to honor him at the race! Let’s continue to enjoy our cherished memories together . . . they truly were a gift from God.
See you soon Brother!
Erik Fredell
A fellow traveler,
Steve Johnson
Sorry about your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

My warm wishes,
Ken Fuld
Dear ‘Team Kessler,’
Jim Reitman
Mike was my Capt for the U Florida Soccer Club 1961 that went 12-0-0 and he was a highly spirted player and Capt.& when things got tough he pulled the team oward. I shall miss him as he taught me few of lifes’ lessons that season!!
Monica and Family:
Ralph and I send our deepest sympathies. May all your beautiful memories made together give you and your family the strength to get through this difficult time.
Ralph & Jean Balsano (Missouri Valley, IA)
Mike was a man that was committed to, promoted and live a life of courages accountability for all of Gods warriors.
He was one . And he did it with a caring and kind heart.
Mike we’ll miss you and your advice and concern for us.
Brother, we use you as an example of HIS love for us as it shined trough you.
Dear Monica, Stephanie, and Drew,
My heart breaks for you on the loss of Michael.
Blessings,
David, Denise, Jaclyn and Joey
Love to you all, Tony Capraro
I was greeted with Mike’s smiling face every Wednesday morning at the Classic Homes corporate office. He would be leaving his men’s study upon my arrival to work. Mike always had time to talk; his joy and positive spirit was contageous.
The thing I’ll never forget about Mike was his love for family. He always asked how my family was doing, and his greatest joy was sharing recent experiences of his family. What I most admire about Mike was his love for Jesus. The Light of the World radiated through him.
Thank you for your legacy and inspiration, Mike!
Kessler Family,
I am sorry for your loss.

Monica, Steph & Drew:
I love you.
Marcy Kessler Kolodny
Dear Steph and Todd,
Dave and I can only imagine what you are going through.

Monica, Steph and Drew,
All our love and prayers are with you at this sad time. Michael will always be in our hearts and in our lives. He was a great big brother, father and husband. I will always remember all of the good times I spent with him growing up. Especially the times out at camp as a child in Missouri and as adults in Colorado. He will be forever missed.
Love,
Ricky and Lois
Dear Monica, Steph and Drew,
Our whole family is so sorry for your loss.
Our family will miss him dearly.”

Moore
Dear Monica and family,
This comes with all our love as we convey our deepest condolence to you on the home going of Michael.
With much love and prayers

Hi guys.
All my love,
Grant Kouri
To Monica, Drew and Stephanie-
It was with great pain that I could not be with you on Thursday as you truly celebrated an AMAZING man.
With love and respect,
Diane Shuck
Monica and Drew,
I am so sorry, to read from afar, of your loss.

God bless you Monica, Stephenie and Drew.
Love,
Judy and Lew Lomas
I received the notice that Mike had passed away from Gator soccer Email. I was Captain of the Gators the year prior to Mike. Like Coach Al Moore I remember Mike being a friend to everyone. On the field, Mike always gave the maximum, and never backed away from a challenge. After reading the guest book, it appears he continued to live the same way. Best wishes to his family.

Hi to the Kessler family…
We miss you, too, big guy!
Save us a place by Him!
Love,
O & D
Sherri and I count it a great blessing to have known, labored with and loved our friend Mike! How wonderful to honor him at the race! Let’s continue to enjoy our cherished memories together . . . they truly were a gift from God.
